Aldo and Kolleen have an incredible property on Caye caulker. You can tell how much they care about their guests and want them to enjoy the island as much as they do. The first day we got there it was pouring rain, but Aldo still took us out on a tour of the island and made sure we were comfortable. The property is perfect for those willing to be away from the night life and to escape and look at the stars. Mt husband and I watched the sunrise every morning from our balcony and enjoyed the other decks on the property. This is a hidden gem on Caye Caulker and we could stay there again in a heartbeat. Very thankful for all the amenities they offer and the location of this property. We can’t wait to go back and see more of Caye caulker! ☺️

Caye Caulker is great.
Caye Caulker is great. Everyone we ran into was super friendly. I would not go there just for the beaches. There are only a few that are what one typically thinks of when they think of Caribbean beaches. The snorkeling was 100% worth the trip out there alone. The food we had was great -- ask your lodging, they can steer you to the right places (I would recommend Reina's, Errolyn's, Maggie's Sunset Grill, Ice and Beans). The owner of Ice and Beans remembers your order and name on the second day you stop by and is sooo nice. I would also recommend that you do not miss rooftop yoga at Namaste Cafe!. The Split can feel a little Cancun Spring Break 1990ish. But its easy to avoid. We rented bicycles at our cabanas and that made getting around the island so much easier! Highly recommend- fun and easier than a golf cart because the roads are a little bumpy.

One of the smaller Belizean island, CC has its own charm and its own pace -- go slow but keep moving is the motto. Food is excellent, dive opportunities everywhere, terrific snorkeling. Ah, but the Sand Flies!! Ouch! Make sure you have plenty of reef safe insect repellent and stay off the sand in the early morning and late afternoon when they come to feast on your legs and ankles. And remove your shoes before going back inside so you don't bring the little critters with you. I was pretty okay, but my manpanion looked like he had chicken pox and he was pretty miserable. Take care....but go slow!
Best lobster is to be found at Pelican Sunset on the west side of the island. Make a reservation in person around noon if you want a sunset table. Dinner is served all day, but you might want to avoid happy house as it's crazy crowded. The Art Cafe is great for brekkie and has a lot of vegan options as well as salads.Eat meat pies when you can find them. Use Marie's hot sauce, a locally produced product! Go to The Split and eat crab claws, lobster kabobs, and BBQ corn at Esther's roadside stand. Drink local beer. Also local rum is darned tasty.

Caye Caulker does not have a beachfront, there is a barrier wall around all the areas. The water is beautiful and we went to Iguana Reef Inn to enjoy a little beach. The roads here are not paved, they are sand or clay and there are a lot of potholes. Your shoes and feet will not stay clean. The major mode of transportation is bicycle or golf cart. The island was not what I expected, we started our vacation in Hopkins which we loved. Check out Coconut Row if you want fabulous service, lazing by a glorious pool and enjoying beach front. The food on Caye Caulker was good but repetitive, most places serve the same stuff. We ended up going to San Pedro one day and renting a golf cart out to Secret Beach, that was really nice. The beach is free and there are restaurants and bars that come to your seats to take your orders and serve you drinks and food. We snorkeled with Nauti Time which is right next to the water taxi. It was a great experience and we had a good time.

It is a beautiful island, less crowded than San Pedro.
It is a beautiful island, less crowded than San Pedro. There are a lot of activities to do. There are a lot of travelling companies, so prices are competitive. People are very nice, and the island is safe in the tourist area. Food is also very good and fresh. You need to be careful with the water taxis because they leave on time, so do not be late. They leave the island very early, so you can catch a lot of tours in Belize city. The only bad part is that the last water taxi to the island leaves at 5:30 pm. You can rent a golf cart to move around the island or rent a bike. There is also a small airport where you can take a tour to see the Great Blue hole.

The island has a peaceful feel to it.
The island has a peaceful feel to it. The people who live there were friendly and helpful. It felt like being invited into someone’s home.
I particularly liked dinner at the Barrier Reef restaurant. It was to the right as you left the water taxi.
You can walk from one side of the island to the other in less than half an hour east to west so the island is easily walkable and I am 67. I did it just to do it but don’t think I would do it again.
Also there is a medical facility and at least one dentist on the island..
Pure and simple...it was LUXURY on the North Side of the island. The owner Rene provides everything you could ever need for a wonderful stay. From the free boat ride to the South, to the modern and handsome decor, to the sparkling clean pool to the grill and outdoor amenities, Bay Towers has it all! Did I mention that the sunsets off your private dock are stunning? They are! It's the best place to stay in Caye Caulker for a personal and concierge visit that can't be beat!
The hotel was beautifully renovated and we had an amazing view of the water. We enjoyed sitting out on the private deck to watch the sunrise in the morning and the room itself was very comfortable. Our hosts Giambattista and Valentina were so hospitable and kind. They greeted us with a Sicilian appetizer and homemade bread, such a thoughtful touch. You can tell they take great pride in their property and genuinely care about their guest's experience on Caye Caulker.
Secluded location away form the croud on the north side of Caye Caulker. Boat ride to the dock on the south side of Caye Caulker is only 5 mins and is complimentary. Both the qulality and the quantity of food in the restaurant/bar inside the property are excellent. You must try the Belizian breakfast and the prices are quite reasonable. Rooms are superclean. Highly recommend this facility to everyone visiting Caye Caulker.
We moved here after deciding to stay in wonderful Caye Caulker for a bit longer and our first hotel was booked. We were sooooo glad we moved - this was amazing, and cheaper than the other one. Really good value (for Belize). Fantastic facilities, clean and stylish. friendly staff, lovely comfy chairs and loungers on one of the few bits of beach on the island. We were just sorry we couldn’t stay longer!
Sea Dream Hotel is located just a few steps from the water, the split and the best attractions that Caye Caulker offers! Stephanie, Kyra, Shasha and staff where excellent!! I went there on my honeymoon they made our stay feel very special, thank you guys!! Me & Bianca will be back soon!!
I strongly recommend this hotel!!
Like other reviewers have noted, this isn’t a resort, it’s merely a few cabanas but it’s near the main strip and within easily walking distance to the split and other Caye Caulker attractions. The air conditioner works great and it was always a blessing to come home to a cool room after a long hot day In the sun.
Go Slow is definitely the best hostel on Caye caulker! The entire hostel was very clean and I liked that the outdoor areas were gravel and not sand like other hostels which meant that the sand didn’t come into the rooms. The ac was good and it was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the 4 bed dorm.
The location is great, right at the heart of Caye Caulker and super close to the little harbour where the ferries arrive. The staff is friendly. The rooftop is great, you can see both sunrise and sunset. There's a store just below for all basics needed. It's one of the cheaper options of the island.
Abel was so helpful in making sure the WiFi was working and helped us into town at times. The place was so amazing for a traveler with the beach front location. We loved the bikes usage also and that he supplied filtered water. Caye Caulker itself is amazing. What a fun little getaway place!
This place is in a great location on Caye Caulker, near the split and walking distance to all bars and restaurants you might want to visit. They made the place look very nice with the straw roofs and we had a super nice balcony. The room has AC, a fridge. The shower was very good.
Great location and authentic Belizean accommodation. Luis, Brian and co were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast by Luis was outstanding every morning with amazing views from the top terrace. we would return again if we are lucky enough to go back to Caye Caulker :)
What a lovely hotel in a perfect location on Caye Caulker. The breakfast was sooo yummy constantly rotating dishes whilst the happy hour was a great way to communicate with other guests. For a small island hotel we could not ask for much more.
Our trip to Belize wrapped up with three nights at Colonda Cabanas, and it was the perfect ending to our vacation. This was like a Goldilocks property — not too fancy, not too rustic, but just right. Every day I woke up happy to be there.
Cute, colorful - great location in the action of Caye Caulker! Great sized room (esp for just me!!), kitchen, bathroom and shower all very close. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location and really cute little cabins. Loved the lighting and the gate for safety (not that this is needed in Caye Caulker) but a nice touch. Bathrooms were lovely.
