Excellent location for walking part of the Pembrokeshire coast. We walked from Newgale to Solva and back. Easy access to St. David’s by car or as part of a coastal walk. Great local pub within 10 minutes walk of the hotel. Excellent restaurants suggested by the hotel. We had a delicious meal at the Cambrian Bar in Solva.

Roch is quaint quiet,, small, winding country roads, 8 minutes drive to Newgale beach, near a very old castle (now hotel). Roch in winter or rain or snow may be a very different experience, has one small store, roads are not conducive for walking along (too small), went to Solva, St Davids, other small towns nearby to eat.

Lovely scenery and friendly staff and people in general.
Lovely scenery and friendly staff and people in general. More remote than Cornwall. Depends what you are after, I prefer it a little busier but if you want to relax and unwind with beaches that are not crowded then its perfect.

We really like visiting the local beaches, but found getting over the hughe amount of pebbles on Newgale Beach a bit daunting. Broad Haven beach was lovely. We loved visiting Solva and made the trip to St David's only to be a bit disappointed we couldn't go inside the cathedral, due to new opening times. We did however have a lovely meal in St David's at The Bishops. Driving around the area was very harrowing at times with the very narrow lanes which in some cases you had to go down to visit. We made sure we tried to avoid these to cause less stress driving!

Great place to visit, lots of interesting things to do from simple walks, boat trips to visit the seals, great eating places, historical buildings and then the beaches / coves to visit. Would expect it to be very busy during school holiday times.
Weather can change quickly so be prepared

Roch is a quiet country area with easy access to the Pembrokeshire coast.
Roch Castle is an unusual and lovely hotel.
If you did not wish to travel too far for something to eat and drink, the Victoria Inn pub in Roch is a cosy, dog friendly destination with good food and wine - didnt try the beer!
It also has B& B accommodation.

Roch is a small village with a handy village store but not much else. However, it is close to Newgale beach and the stunning Pembrokeshire coast with its famous path. Also nearby there are numerous attractions including the beautiful coastal village of Solva and the amazing city of St Davids. So much more to see than we could fit into a week! We would recommend the Cambrian Inn at Solva for an evening meal.
The room has been beautifully decorated and has almost everything that is required for a first class hotel. Excellent wifi, comfortable beds and bedding and an excellent bathroom and very importantly during warm weather a fan. We were especially impressed by the special Covid secure measures. Also there was a very good breakfast.

Wow, what a really unique place to stay. The building is impressive, sat in beautiful countryside with some wonderful views across the Pembrokeshire coast.
The staff were very friendly and the room was really well presented, with a huge en suite bathroom.
Finally, probably the best cooked breakfast I've had in years!
it’s a lovely use of a beautiful historic building. we’d seen many castles and though you think you want to stay in an old one - I’m glad it’s modern, nicely finished and provided just enough castle meets hotel. we had what I’ve read is the best room, great space, towels, bed, breakfast.
Breakfast excellent, Location great. Staff members very good attitude.
Very simply but nicely decorated with a calming, relaxing feel.
In all honesty accommodation if described as a Luxurious B & B then would have been able to rate Roch Castle as excellent
Lots of extras left in the chalet to use eg swimsuits, books, games. Clean and spacious and the kids loved having bunkbeds. It was much more relaxing because of this especially when weather wasnt quite on our side. Owners responsive and helpful
The staff at Roch Castle were so helpful and lovely. They really did go above and beyond to help us and make our stay wonderful. Breakfast was delicious as were the sandwiches they kindly made for us for our trip to Skomer Island!
Very highly recommended if you are in the area! Super modern rooms inside of the real castle. Rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking space. Beautiful view.
Julian and Jayne are lovely hosts, friendly and welcoming. Great place to get away from it all and a nice laid-back feel to the place. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. We would gladly go back
The staff were extremely lovely and helpful. The restaurant attached to the bnb was wonderful! Some of the best food we'd had in quite a while. Room was spacious and comfortable.
