We stayed here for a night out as we just had a baby 5 months ago and our first opportunity to have a baby free night! Overall we enjoyed our stay here however there were several areas of opportunity for this hotel as we had the opportunity to experience several parts of this hotel.
Check in
Was smooth fast and easy although we requested an upgrade upon booking they advised us it wouldn't be possible this time. Which we understand however on their site it did mention free upgrades with a reservation at this hotel in the city. I took a picture which I've included. On the positive they did give us an early check in which was very helpful as we had our baby for the first couple hours and lots of luggage and a stroller.
Room
We had a deluxe King room (725) it had a beautiful view of the arches. A very spacious washroom, with great water pressure. The room was equiped with a mini fridge, a free bottle of water, coffee and complementary chocolate truffles. The bed was also comfortable with good pillows.
Chardonnay
To end our evening we took the opportunity to dine at the on-site restaurant Chardonnay. Our service was outstanding our wine was great the beef carpaccio was so fresh. We also took advantage of the daily special they had which was the seafood paella for 2 and we really enjoyed that as well it was a very big portion for two people, so much we took it to go.
Breakfast Buffet
Service was a fast, friendly and efficient. Our breakfast was included in our stay. There was a huge variety of options from Birria, Pozole, chilaquiles, torta ahogada, omelette station, salads, cheese, meats, pancakes, sweets, juices etc... we enjoyed that along with with the outdoor seating.

Guadalajara is a beautiful city but as women travelling together we didn’t feel safe. Most people don’t speak English so have to use translation apps. Try and speak a bit of Spanish.
Beware of taxis and Ubers. Some in our party were picked up by Uber and robbed and left to get back themselves. The metro is easy to use.

A big city to explore the multiple beautiful towns near by.
A big city to explore the multiple beautiful towns near by. Most of the attractions here are in the historic center while most of the dining and entertainment is located in the Chapultepec neighborhood. Again Guadalajara is an excellent base for day trips the towns of Tequila, Ajijic, and the Chapala lake and of course Tlaquepaque.

Easy to get around. Interesting history.
Easy to get around. Interesting history. Lots of nearby towns and places to visit. I enjoyed a walking tour of the city, a day trip to Guachimontones (very interesting and unique ruins with circular pyramids) and a day of tequila tasting and tour of the Jose Cuervo Distillery in the city of Tequila.

This is my second visit to Guadalajara.
This is my second visit to Guadalajara. We stayed for 3 nights in Guadalajara. One in Central Guadalajara and 2 in Tlaquepaque.
The first night we went to Bruna Restaurant (modern Mexican) great food recommend. We then shopped in Andares mall. The next 2 nights were in Tlaquepaque, great place to wander around and see artisan, local products. We also drove to Tonala as I was looking especially for Mexican tile, Tonala cheaper than Tlaquepaque. But Tlaquepaque more picturesque and walkable.

Guadalajara is undeniably an intriguing city.
Guadalajara is undeniably an intriguing city. It boasts stunning historical landmarks, but also exhibits a significant number of deteriorated buildings. The culinary scene is exceptional, with a plethora of delightful restaurants to explore. There's no shortage of attractions, making it a unique destination worthy of at least a two-day visit.

The stunning architecture and walkable area with fountains, restaurants, shops, activities like karaoke, accessible churches, pleasant weather, and of course the very friendly, polite Mexican people. Saw a few people sleeping on street but much fewer than I see in Portland, Oregon. I’m glad I got to visit. The surrounding countryside with mountains and agave fields also lovely.
We loved the look of this beautiful old hotel and the location was great. We had an awesome room with a balcony. If someone is sensitive to noise, a front facing/balcony room isn't a good option. But we got a private concert each nice and fireworks so it was great. The breakfast was delicious and we were walking distance to anything we wanted to do in el Centro. We'll stay here again if we're lucky enough to return to GDL!
The property was beautiful and had excellent amenities. It was super handy to have a cafe attached for breakfast each day. The patio was lovely too.
This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful.
Definitely a great a spot for solo travelers. It’s close to the centro histórico but a much more laidback area.
I've stayed a few times for one-night stopovers. Heading somewhere in Mexico. I find it best to reserve a week in advance. They have two quick taco puestos/restaurants three minutes walk. And a half dozen more restaurants a 15 to 20 min walk. The area is a famous Guadalajara landmark - called the nine-corners and is fabulous for foodies.
Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Room very large, very clean, very nice beddings and towels...amazing hot water for the shower! Restaurants right next door with a variety of great food. The hotel is five minutes from the Guadalajara International airport, and they offer a free shuttle at anytime of the day or night.
Beautiful traditional old building in the heart of Guadalajara, easy walking distance to everything yet in a quiet location. Our room was lovely especially with the private terrace space. Elvia at the hotel is so friendly and so helpful, we felt that she really wanted us to enjoy our stay and worked hard to ensure it.
this has to be the best hotel I've stayed in for a long time. Located in the Centro Historico of Guadalajara so is within walking distance of all the central attractions. Free parking on site, super attentive staff, great attention to detail. Room was excellent and very comfortable. Can't fault a single thing!
Location was right in centro. Staff very helpful. Valet parking included in price. However the entrance to the hotel appeared to be on a pedestrian only street. So it was confusing at first. Lovely older hotel with rooms off a central two story foyer area. Standard room tho had no window
best receptionist ever met in all my journey in mexico! the two young guys working at night shift were the most professional and best ever receptionist ever met in whole my trip in mexico!
keep working like this guys, you will open your hotel one day, you can do it!
The hotel was located in the best central point of the city with easy access to Cathedral, and other points of interests around the city and other small towns like Tequila, Mexico. The staff was very friendly, professional and very attentive.
Beautiful Mexican hotel with loads of cute details and traditional decor. It's a haven! Lovely staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed and very clean. This will be our hotel of choice from now on when visiting Guadalajara!
The bed was comfortable. The parking was a bit tight to get in but great to have in Centro gdl. Breakfast was good. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Perfect spot to walk around the Centro histórico
I am a frequent guess with the Hotel in Guadalajara, and US. I normally have coffee, fruit and/or pastries. I have never been disappointed with the food or the room. Grateful for the free laundry.
